Like most great ideas, it started innocently enough—a random idea, two friends, and the need to get out after COVID. Working remotely ten hours a day just wasn’t cutting it. Not a big plan, just a simple need.
Jacki Neal, posted on a local Facebook group looking for tennis lessons, and was steered into trying “pickleball”. She and lifelong friend Kelly Cale, decided to give it a try. After hitting up Amazon for some gear, they began this journey. After a short time, they agreed that this was fun. Really Fun.
And as women do, when they get inspired, motivated, or have a great time, THEY TELL THEIR FRIENDS. And their friends tell their friends.
Fast forward three years--two friends turned into 15, then 25 and now there are over 150+ Pickle Chicks in Forsyth County.
Today, Pickle Chicks not only play pickleball, we give back, partnering with local nonprofits donating, time, resources, and energy to causes that make a difference.
Its more than a game. It’s a movement. Women are empowering each other to get better health, fitness and community involvement, one game at a time.

We are a spirited community of women united by pickleball—empowering each other to grow, give back, and create waves of kindness, joy, and purpose in our communities.
